PEPP

The Patient Experience Policy Programme (PEPP) is a collaborative partnership between the Department of Health Public and Patient Engagement and Experience (PPEE) Division and NHS North West. It has been set up to ensure that the population has a positive experience of care in the changing NHS environment.

The programme will run until March 2012, and will explicitly look at solutions to take forward the requirements for patient experience in the NHS Outcomes Framework (published 2010) and the emerging Commissioning Outcomes Framework. In addition the programme will work flexibly to incorporate additional responsibilities, as determined by the Strategic Leadership Group. The outputs of the programme will take into account with the wider NHS reforms, specifically commissioning and choice and the operational demand placed upon the NHS to deliver improvements and efficiencies through quality, innovation, productivity and prevention (QIPP)

The programme of work is managed from NHS North West’s headquarters in Manchester.
