Accessibility Statement

This website has been designed and built with accessibility in mind by frozensheep.com.

It has been built to comply with the Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) guidelines and standards outlined in the Disability Discriminations Act (DDA).

The following information will help all users of this website including, but not limited to, those with disabilities.

Navigation

This site uses a consistent form of navigation throughout.

All pages include accessibility links to help screen readers skip to the required content.

All pages include a link back to the home page by clicking on the logo.

Access Keys

Access keys are used for all the accessibility links. Browsers support these by pressing either ALT + <access key >(Windows) or Command + <access key> (Mac) – consult your browsers documentation for further info.

Some access keys can interfere with screen reader shortcuts and so have been kept to a minimum to prevent this.

Standards Compliance

This site is build to comply to W3C standards. HTML Pages and CSS validate against the W3C HTML validator.

Structured semantic mark-up is used to assist screen readers to define the order and structure of the page. H1 is used for main titles, H2 for sub-titles and introductions, H3 for sub-sections and points of interest and P for all other text.

Visual Design

This sites design has been tested to ensure that its visual design does not affect its usability and that font colours and sizes used are readable by all visitors, including those with who are visual impaired and/or colour blindness.

CSS

This site makes use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to format its pages. Attention has been made to ensure that all pages are readable and usable in browsers where CSS is unavailable or disabled.

Links

Links on this site have been clearly and accurately described and displayed to ensure that they are easily identifiable by all visitors.

Attention has been paid to the word or phrase used to ensure that they make sense out of context.

Images

Images on this site include “ALT tags” where appropriate to describe a written statement about what the image contains.

Suitable image formats, compression and dimensions have been considered to ensure fast loading.

Scripts

Where additional client-side scripts have been used to provide added functionality or ease, precautions have been taken to ensure that basic functionality remains to those users who cannot or wish not to run these scripts.

Downloads

Any downloadable content has been marked as such and provides information about the file type and size of download.

Bandwidth

Consideration has been made to keep all page sizes as small as possible to ensure users without a high bandwidth connection can access the site.
